About the Seminar
Saturday
03.12.
"In
the Pilates/Yoga seminar we will use exercises which prepare the dancer
for a dance class and improve the alignment and control. The focus lies
on core stability, centre strength and flexibility throughout the whole
body. The combination of the reliable method founded and developed by
Joseph Pilates and the centuries old exercises from India will provide a
well balanced work out for the body."
Sunday 04.12.
"Passion,
deep meaning dance, strong accents in harmony with flowing movements -
these are characteristics of my modern dance classes in which I
sometimes add elements of jazz. Throughout the years I developed my own
personal style and technique which I call "e-motion".
You will come across movements and variations of "Melting Falls"
and "Hobbits" which I often use. We will take time to analyse
what you can express with a certain movement rather than just doing
steps without consciousness."

Curriculum
Vitae
"I
started dancing at the age of 15 when I was inspired by the video "Beat
It" by Michael Jackson. After studying his moves for months in
front of the television I attended a local ballet school and took
classes in jazz, classical ballet and tap. It took me a few more years
and a psychology study which I did not finish to finally follow my heart
and passion and move to the Netherlands where I attended the
danceacademy in Arnhem. After my study I had several short projects with
Memento Dance Company, de KISS moves, Herman van Veen, Stanley Burleson
and others. Although I thought that my dream was to dance in a huge
company, it turned out that I found my mission in teaching - a direct
way to interact with people, inspire them and pass on my knowledge.
Besides the domain of dance the field of photography and video art came
onto my path which both enrich and accomplish my art. That is why I call
myself an MVA - Moving Visual Artist."
